The night, I lay in my bed of dark The chain hanging on my throat Jesus isn't there, only the cross that is his home He beat his drum like he did at feasts I sang he danced on water There was quiet and we were full of peace We howled out truths like the first Prophet of joy who dared to say no sin And when it gets cold we'll take a moment And head for California I AM THE LORD'S MISTAKE! The wind was drunk, there's a cold wet sun I had to ask, I'd loved so long To hear you singing out a place I cannot touch Mixture of poison treacle I walk towards you with a nervous smile We howled out truths like the first Prophet of joy who dared to say no sin And when it gets cold we'll take a moment And head for California I AM THE LORD'S MISTAKE! I'm not your only lover I'm not your favourite lover I'm not your candy girl And I'm not your sinner I'm not your only lover I'm not your favourite lover I'm not your candy girl I AM THE LORD'S MISTAKE!

Stare at me so I can stare you out In my heart of hearts I think I like you You've been baiting that hook fiend hidden in a cloud Why should I have to beg you? Laying on my back my hands behind my head I sleep into the pit of the night Music scratches shadows on the wall A bizarre ballet hypnotise us, hypnotise us Everybody turn back time and start all over Lovers screaming sunset evening turn turn turn Watch us melt into the sun Now that you're in my boat we can rock it together Stare at me so I can stare you out In my heart of hearts I think you like me I chose a certain kind of life above that of words So that I could find fear for the last time My body stirs with ache and with heave Will you take my hand baby? You can make my day, make me good for a moment Invisible eyes hypnotise us, hypnotise us Everybody turn back time and start all over Lovers screaming sunset evening turn turn turn Watch us melt into the sun Now that you're in my boat we can rock it together What are we becoming? There's nothing new under the sun What are we becoming? There's nothing new Under the sun Hypnotise us (1, 2, 3, 4, I'm gonna come knocking on your door) Now that you're in my boat we can rock it together Everybody turn back time and start all over Lovers screaming sunset evening turn turn turn Everybody turn back time and start all over Lovers screaming sunset evening turn turn turn Watch us melt into the sun Now that you're in my boat we can rock it together

Reading comics and chewing gum I pull the streams of smoke down into my lungs Young face in alcohol flames I was dead on arrival I wish I had your voice at the end of the line I’m a postcard waiting in a forgotten time I shiver on the floor of broken glass I was dead on arrival Took off my shirt, kicked off my shoes I was twisting in the movie that I’d left for you Throw me a cigarette, I was king of the world But dead on arrival I'm blocking out the pain again Don’t know how to start again Life on the road holds nothing but lost sleep When a woman can be alone With her weakness or sin How does she write the sickness out of her heart? Hooked and sick now we're dust and done So I said my goodbye, good luck and so on Trembling hands, I must be insane I was dead on arrival I just don't know where I come from I just don't know where I can be found It’s plain to see I'm stuck on you You don't remember I was dead on arrival

about

Out with the old, in with the new. We're experimenting in our garage, making music the way we like to make it, using whatever we have lying around. Juju, Ben and a room full of toys. We're moving towards another album with a totally different vibe.

You won't hear any real cymbals because we don't have any. We can't play the drums very well so we've looped them or stolen them or just left them out. Juju's trying to remember how to play the violin...
